Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Residential Energy-Efficiency Programs

Energy efficiency rebates are available from Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative to help you save money, live more comfortably in your home and protect the environment.

Iowa Lakes encourages its member-owners to use electricity efficiently and by helping pay for new energy-efficient equipment and appliances is the best way to do that. Both member-owners and the Cooperative benefits from the energy-efficiency program!

"Pull the Plug" Recycling Program - refrigerator, freezer or window air conditioner - $25/unit

If you have an old operating regrigerator, freezer or window air conditioner that you would like to get rid of, fill out the form and Iowa Lakes will contact ESI, our recycling contractor, to set up a collection time.

Within one business day, ESI will contact you, the member-owner, to confirm the request and provide an estimated collection time - within a three-week time frame.

The appliance must be located "curbside" for collection, meaning it has to be outside of the house or inside a garage or shed. ESI will not enter a member-owners's home to remove the old appliance.

During appliance pick-up, ESI checks to make sure the appliance is operable, loads it up, writes a $25 rebate check and leaves it with the member-owner in an envelope provided by Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative.

Maximum of three units per residential/farm account per year. A member-owner may have ESI remove other appliances at the member-owner's own expense.
