Have you even wondered what it's like to drive an electric vehicle? Well, now you have the opportunity!
Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative just purchased its first all-electric 2019 Chevy Bolt and your Cooperative is offering our member-owners the opportunity to borrow and test drive it free of charge.
Your Cooperative's electric vehicle (EV) loaner program provides member-owners the chance to see how an EV works in order to provide first hand education and awareness about the quickly growing electric vehicle (EV) industry.
Whether you're considering buying an EV, are interested in finding out why EV's are predicted to be the car of the future, or are just curious about how it feels to drive one, you're invited to borrow the Chevy Bolt for a few hours, or even a couple days. We can't wait to hear what you think!
Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative has also installed an electric charging station at its Estherville headquarters and it is available to the general public if they find themselves needing a charge. Your Cooperative's Chevy Bolt is equipped with a 60 kWh Lithium-ion battery and offers an estimated range of 238 miles.
Member-owners who wish to test drive the EV must be in good standing with the cooperative and able to provide us with a valid driver's license and copy of their insurance. To schedule your test drive, call 800-225-4532.
