Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative is governed by 14 directors. Directors are responsible for establishing policies, procedures and strategic planning. Member-owners electric directors through a balloted election within their respective district. Election results are announced at the Cooperative's annual meeting held in April. Directors are elected to four-year terms.
Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative's board of directors and executive team meet once a month for regular meetings, generally the fourth Thursday of the month. Meeting dates are subject to change. Directors are also required to take part in special meetings, training and cooperative events.
